Poster analysis

Film makers sometimes decided to make a poster that will help to advertise the film that is or will be coming out in cinema in the near future. The posters need to be attractive but at the same time informative about what the film is about, that is going to be out in cinema in the near future.

Posters capture the initial intrest of the audience and is what draws them into the cinema. These are some of the ideas that i found by analysing these posters that will help me make my film poster.


There are some similarities between the film posters:

1. Dark backgrounds- creates tension, suspense.
2. Font colours stand out and contrast the background colours e.g white, red.
3. Main image is large stands out  and gives the feel of what happns in the film.
4. Age rating is shown to give the audience information.
5. Credits- directors, producers, actors included.
